The app has great features. Love the import feature!

This really is a great app. Over the years there have been some glitches, but the developers are always quick to fix them with an update. I use this app every day and 98% of the time it performs flawlessly!

Used to be my favorite app. I have now abandoned it since over the course of a few months it got slower and slower, now taking almost a minute to respond to keystrokes and crashing regularly.

Works flawlessly for me. Im not experiencing the slowness reported by someone else.

Downcast used to be awesome until about 6 month ago when it became unstable, crashing 3 to 4 times in the first 10 minutes of play and then multiple times through the night. Totally unreliable since then. Ive complained to Downcast support and I havent heard back from them. Shame on you Downcast!!

Downcast was the first app I bought - so much better than the default, never wastes my data plan. There were some strange glitches over the summer but they seem to be fixed. I love the new feature - downcast shows up when I double tap even if it isnt already running in the background. Worth exploring the settings and features to customize your listening experience. (Especially download options, playlists, sorting, and customized skip forward and back options)

I just love it- its the only podcasting app I use (and have used for many many mths).

I use this app everyday. Far superior to the default podcasting app. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I want in a podcast app.

Please, please, I beg you, update your app to to iOS 10 or do something to fix it! Downcast used to be my favorite podcast app and I still love it for the functions, UX and customizability but after I updated my iPhone 6s plus to iOS 10 it became pretty much unusable because it just sucks my battery dry in 3.5-4 hours with normal use and also uses up almost all of 2GB of my phones memory which is not normal. And while playing my phone all the time stays burning hot, I probably couldnt hold it without the case on. Thats how hot it is. I checked many times, its absolutely Downcasts doing. Other apps, including native Podcasts app dont do anything even close like this. Thank you.

We spend hours together. My favourite is that you can set global options like 1.25 speed, and save 2 unplayed episodes, but override that per podcast, so you can listen to your music podcasts at normal speed, or grab all podcasts for the title you are binging on, and reset it later. Love it.

Been using Downcast for a while and really liked it. But since iOS 10 its been a buggy mess. Im restarting the app all the time to fix stuff. Hope this review is a wake up call.

For over two years, this was my favourite podcast app. I loved the ease of use, and handy features like many different playback speeds. Over the past two months, the app has gotten worse and worse, to the point where it is essentially non-functional. Now, it frequently crashes on me; playback freezes and will not resume, forcing me to close the app and reopen it several times before playback starts again; my podcast list only loads partway, forcing me to close the app again and reopen to refresh; and function buttons have become unresponsive. Please update the app and fix these issues. Im now forced to return to Apples own poor podcasting app.

I read the reviews about how buggy this was on iOS but decided to try it. Just adding my confirmation that this app is buggy as in freezes and crashes. Will update review if/when dev updates with fix. Looks amazing though. Also has background play for video podcasts. Good ui. If it works for ios10 this could be the ultimate podcaster

Ive used this as my podcast app of choice for years. Unfortunately, theres been a pack of support - no update since iOS 10 - and its now slow and crashes constantly. I had a few issues with it (no night/dark theme for some reason), but without major fixes, look elsewhere. Finally jumping ship for PocketCast.

It downloads fine, streams well and except for the occasional crash, it is stable. Generally solved the crash issues by removing it fully and setting it up again, after rebooting my IOS devices (I use it across an iPhone 5, 5s, 6s, iPad mini retina and iPad Air). The only issue I have is sometimes Downcast seems to hold on to streamed content in a cache and takes time to release it (after multiple reboots, it may release). This is not common; but does occur for me.

I really like this. The interface is very nice, and the sleep timer is a great touch.

This app is great, it never crashes unlike podcaster. Backup to iCloud is great too. much better than apples rubbush app too.

Best app on ios for listening podcast on iPhone.
